ECUADOR
The sovereign state of Ecuador is a middle-income representative democratic republic and a developing country that is highly dependent on commodities, namely petroleum and agricultural products. It is governed as a democratic presidential republic. One of 17 megadiverse countries in the world, Ecuador hosts many endemic plants and animals, such as those of the Galápagos Islands. In recognition of its unique ecological heritage, the new constitution of 2008 is the first in the world to recognize legally enforceable Rights of nature, or ecosystem rights.
Mission of LACFI Ecuador Desk
To support businesses and companies that are interested to invest in Ecuador and make the country a base for establishing their network in Latin America.
Vision
Vision of the Ecuador Desk is to support the Embassy of Ecuador in the Capital of India and to also co-ordinate with the trade office in Mumbai for effective enabling of commercial and trade representation.
“Currently, our diamond and semi-precious stones are exported through London to India, and we want to change that so that those commodities can be directly exported to India,” said Gabriel P Sinimbo, High Commissioner of Republic of Namibia
The Climate Change Conference will be held in Chennai on the 7th July in the esteemed presence of the High Commissioner of Jamaica and the High Commissioner of Lesotho.
