Namibia 2023

The Indian delegation visited Namibia with 12 multisectoral companies and interacted with various business community in Windhoek.  The delegation was hosted by the Indian High Commission in Namibia.

Sectors

The multisectoral delegation comprised of Mining, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Electric Vehicles, IT Development solutions, Films and Media production. Real estate investments and Agro processing forestry.
The MOU was signed between Bhagat singh University and the Institutional partners in Namibia for cross culture exchange of students and teachers, Technology collaboration and initiation of new mechanisms in learning and development of human potential in Namibia

Mining sector

Mining sector in Namibia is very promising and especially for indian investors is an ideal investment option.  There are many mining companies in Namibia who have given their proposal for exchange of knowledge in the areas of Diamond mining and Manganese mining.

Namibia Conference in Hyderabad

India Namibia forum was held in Hyderabad with the business community to enable the trade deliberations between the two countries. There were various issues discussed including the upcoming delegation to Namibia from Hyderabad.

Mission

The Mission of the Hyderabad office is to create linkages between the companies from Telengana state and present them investment opportunities in Namibia. Delegation from Hyderabad had visited the capital Windhoek and Swakopmond to explore  opportunities in tourism and mining sector.

IETO Delegation visited Namibia for the Mining Expo to deliberate on collaborations for mining sector and the India Namibia Conference was organized by the presence of Minister of Tourism and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Namibia.

Delegation of the IETO headed by the President Dr. Asif Iqbal met the Namibian President Hage Geingob in Cascais, Portugal, to attend the annual Horasis Global Meeting – one of the world’s foremost discussion forums offering an ideal platform to explore and foster cooperation, impact investing and sustainable growth.
Presidential Press Secretary, Dr Alfredo Hengari, said Geingob’s visit to Portugal was a part of Namibia’s investment drive.
On the day of the grand opening on Saturday, 6 April, Geingob would, in addition to several bilateral meetings and interviews with global media, participated in the plenary, “Governing a World out of Balance”.
As part of Namibia’s investment drive, President Geingob, who was accompanied by government ministers and business leaders, invited the IETO President Dr. Asif Iqbal for a Namibia Investment Luncheon on Sunday, 7 April and a Namibia Business Seminar on Monday, 8 April 2019.
President Geingob concluded participation in the Horasis Global Meeting with bilateral talks with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The Horasis Community of more than 800 selected world leaders (including several Heads of State and Government from 70 countries) gathers annually since 2016 to devise ideas to sustain and nurture future developments, and has requested Namibia to host the 2020 edition of the global meeting.

Later in Bangalore, The Ambassador of Namibia participated in the Blockchain Summit held at the Jain University in Bangalore during the Inauguration.

A Namibian company requires help in the IT domain desiging in Curricula of Computer programming e.g Python programming language.
We are looking at partnerships for abattoirs for meat export to India, Far East and the UAE.
We have a 10,0000 hectare farm in the maize triangle near Tsumeb (Oshikoto Region). We would like any farming expert to team up with us and do a joint venture. The farm is a combination of 3 farms
