Enhancing Industry Academia Relations: IETO and SRM University MOU

IETO and SRM University in Karnal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to engage in collaborations relating to student exchange programs and developing Industry Academia relations. SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat based in Haryana aims to emerge as a leading world-class university that creates and disseminates knowledge upholding the highest standards of instructions in Medicine & Health Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Management, Law, Science and Humanities. Along with academic excellence and skills, our curriculum imparts integrity and social sensitivity to mould our graduates who may be best suited to serve the nation and the world.

The discussions revolved around training and Placement which plays a crucial role in providing students with ample opportunities and guidance to gain relevant work experience and brush up on their skills to ensure the best placements for the students. The Training & Placements cell of the University operates year-round by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments to ensure the best and most successful placements of the students in prominent organizations. With the number of students being placed rising continuously and our alumni setting records in the industry we have been successfully maintaining our high placement statistics over time. IETO has offered support in terms of campus recruitment.

Research division of the SRM university is described as the production of new knowledge and/or the innovative use of pre-existing knowledge to produce novel ideas, approaches, and comprehensions. The main objective of the research is to add to the corpus of knowledge by venturing into unexplored territory, refuting accepted hypotheses, or filling in knowledge gaps. AS the part of the MOU, IETO would be supporting in a variety of academic fields, including science, the social sciences, the humanities, engineering, technology, and more. IETO believes that a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach and teamwork strengthen the university’s research and promote researchers in varied fields. Research is essential for improving knowledge and understanding, stimulating innovation, guiding political choices, and resolving complicated issues. It is carried out by academicians, scientists, scholars, and students. Research findings are frequently disseminated through publications in scholarly journals, talks at conferences, and other means in order to advance our understanding of a subject. IETO will be helping students to obtain various connections in universities for research programs.

Students were given a good treat of information from the IETO delegation that gave an outlook of International relations and their impact on Indian education system. Director of the IETO Sushma Pawar also participated in the deliberaitons.

The curriculum which is beautifully designed by experts from industry & academia. They have CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) & the internship Program that ensures every student has spent over 7 months (2 months after 4th Semester & 5 months after 7th Semester) working in the industry even before graduation. The internship exposes them to real-life applications of their course work and teaches them to work in a collaborative environment. Students complete their academic programs at the same time as their internship, by the end of the internship they have the opportunity to become full-time employees based on their performance. The internship gives students the vital experience needed to adapt quickly to careers in the industry. IETO and its affiliates in various countries would connect the University with their counterparts.
