Klang, Malaysia – 23 November 2025:
The United Diplomatic Council (UDC) successfully hosted the United Economic Summit 2025, a landmark gathering with the vision of strengthening global economic cooperation and creating bridges between emerging and established markets. The Summit, held on 23 November 2025 and preceded by an elegant gala dinner on 22 November, brought together an esteemed congregation of ambassadors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, senior officials from the Office of the Member of Parliament of Klang, and distinguished guests from across the region.
Among the notable dignitaries in attendance was His Excellency Ambassador Fleming Raúl Duarte Ramos, Ambassador of Paraguay to Malaysia, whose presence added significant depth to the discussions on cross-regional opportunities. His participation reaffirmed Paraguay’s growing engagement with Asian markets and highlighted the country’s interest in expanding collaborations across sectors of mutual relevance.
India and Paraguay’s bilateral relationship has been steadily evolving, marked by increasing trade exchanges and a shared interest in sustainable development. Their economic engagement spans pharmaceuticals, automobiles, machinery, organic chemicals, and agricultural commodities—sectors where Indian expertise and Paraguay’s strategic market strengths naturally complement one another. Paraguay’s investor-friendly policies, its advantageous location within the Mercosur community, and India’s competitive capabilities in technology, manufacturing, and capacity-building create an encouraging environment for expanded cooperation. The Summit provided a platform to revisit these shared ambitions and explore new pathways for growth.

Similarly, the economic relationship between Paraguay and Malaysia continues to broaden as both countries identify new synergies in agriculture, food processing, electrical products, and renewable energy. Paraguay’s robust agricultural output—including soybeans, beef, sugar, and grains—aligns well with Malaysia’s expanding industrial and processing sectors. Malaysia’s role as a regional gateway in Southeast Asia and Paraguay’s emergence as a strategic logistics hub in South America form a natural foundation for deeper, more structured engagement.
The Summit further opened a thoughtful dialogue on the trilateral potential between India, Paraguay, and Malaysia—three nations whose economic strengths intersect at pivotal points. India’s technological leadership, Malaysia’s advanced industrial ecosystem, and Paraguay’s competitive production environment together create vast room for joint ventures, knowledge exchange, and long-term investment partnerships. This emerging trilateral dynamic holds the promise of shaping new economic corridors between Asia and Latin America, offering opportunities in agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, digital innovation, and capacity development.

In this context, Paraguay stood out as a country of significant promise for global investors. With one of the most business-friendly economic climates in Latin America, low taxation, abundant renewable energy resources, and special economic incentives, it presents a fertile environment for ventures in agribusiness, renewable energy, manufacturing, textiles, infrastructure, logistics, and digital services. The Summit amplified these possibilities, encouraging business communities from India, Malaysia, and beyond to explore Paraguay’s expanding economic landscape.
Reflecting on the success of the gathering, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of the Indian Economic Organisation, remarked,
“The United Economic Summit is not merely a gathering but a movement—one that brings nations closer, builds trust, and opens sustainable corridors of shared prosperity. Our mission is to ensure that businesses across continents find common ground, common purpose, and partners with whom they can grow.”
The United Economic Summit 2025 concluded as a defining milestone in UDC’s journey, reaffirming the Council’s dedication to creating meaningful platforms for global engagement and advancing economic cooperation among nations. The conference served as a testament to UDC’s unwavering commitment to promoting international trade dialogue and fostering meaningful economic partnerships.
