ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2022

IIT Kanpur (Picture: PTI) The ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2022 is beginning next month! And this time, the Start-up Incubation & Innovation Centre (SIIC) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has been selected as the lead coordinator from India for this festival. SIIC is the technology-business incubator at the institute. According to an official release, as the lead coordinator from India, SIIC IIT Kanpur is inviting start-ups across India to be a part of this festival. India Gabon trade council launched in Delhi

IETO delegation was invited to the World Export Development conference in Budapest, Hungary, on 25-26 October 2017. Entrepreneurs from all over the world along with Policymakers came to gain fresh perspectives. Development partners, came to hear from practitioners about global strategies that worked on the ground.
President of Hungary János Ader welcomed the IETO delegation . Previously Mr Ader served as speaker of the National Assembly from 1998 to 2002 and deputy chairman of the European Parliament committee.

IETO Delegation invited to the Republic of Djibouti to formalize discussions on the Djibouti Airport project by GMR Builders in India and the supply of Tata Motor Sedan cars to the country. The Ambassador of Djibouti Mr.H.E. Mr. Said Absieh Warsama inaugurated the India Djiobuti Trade Forum initiated by IETO for various trade and promotion activity between the two countries.

Djibouti, a tiny nation of less than three million people in the Horn of Africa, is cooperating with India closely to combat threats to shipping in the Indian Ocean from pirates based out of civil war-wracked Somalia. Djibouti is an important transit port for regional and international shipping as well as a base for refueling.

“India has always been a significant entity in the region, as the name Indian Ocean implies. We are helping India directly as well as indirectly in the war against piracy. Indian marines are going to Djibouti and staying there two-three days before going out to sea to search for pirates,” Ambassador told in an interview here.

IETO delegation arrived in Latvia with the delegation of the Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu where meetings with various Latvian leaders were held to discuss ways to strenghten the bilateral ties.
The vice president, who reached the Latvian capital Riga on the second leg of his five-day three-nation tour to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, the first ever high-level visit from India to the three Baltic countries.
On his arrival at the airport here, the vice president was received by Andris Teikmanis, Head of the Chancery of the President of Latvia, Monika Kapil Mohta, Ambassador of India to Sweden and Latvia, and Artis Bertulis, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to India.
During the visit, Naidu had bilateral meetings with Latvian President Eglis Levits and Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins.
The vice president laid the wreath at Freedom Monument of Latvia and unveiled the bust of Mahatma Gandhi in the National Library of Latvia.

IETO Delegation met Mr. Omar Sultan Al Olama (عمر سلطان العلماء) Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the United Arab Emirates.

He used an effective metaphor to describe where this “race” is at on the international stage.

“AI is like a black box,” he said. “There are countries that do not care what is in the black box, as long as the answer – or what comes out of it – is positive,” he said. Others, like the EU “are not concerned about the answer as long as everyone fits in the black box. And there are countries that don’t care about what the black box is, as long as they have the biggest black box.”

The minister and other experts on the AI panel at the Paris Peace Forum agreed that the major issue at hand is inclusivity, both at the national and international level.

IETO Delegation visited the Republic of Armenia to participate in Trade and Commerce promotion between the two countries.

The Indian Delegation along with the BEST University in Andhra Pradesh signed MOU’s with various Universities for exchanging faculty programs and other strategic initiatives that could help both the countries for building human potential. IETO organised the India Armenia Business Conclave to interact with various businessmen and CEO’s in Armenia.
The Governor of Tavush Region Hayk Chobanyan welcomed the delegation to explore opportunities in Armenia and the Northern region of the country that is strategically located between 3 countries Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran. MAUTO from chennai has initiated to start manufacturing plant in the country to promote tourism and development.
Indian Ambassador to Armenia Mr. K.D.Dewal was the chief guest along with the Governor of Tavush region. The Delegation comprised of a varied domain experts including Higher Education, IT, Electrical Mobility and Agriculture.

IETO visited Israel with the Chief Minister of Indian State Karnataka to collaborate and explore opportunities in Agriculture, Irrigation, Education and Health related businesses.
The Delegation was headed by Mr. H.D. Kumarswamy, Chief Minister, Mr. Basavaraj Horatti, Prof . Rangappa- Former Vice Chancellor of Mysore University, Puttaraju-Minister for Transport, Puttaswamy Gowda- Member of the Legislative Council in the state. The Delegation visited various livestock breeding farms and Irrigation companies to further the cause of Agriculture in the State.
To find long-term solutions to problems plaguing the agriculture sector, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, in his maiden budget, has given a big push to the Israeli methods of farming and irrigation practices. Kumaraswamy, who had claimed to have brought back smart solutions such as drip and micro-irrigation adopted by Israel to benefit farmers of drought-prone regions, has now set aside Rs 150 crore for providing Israeli model irrigation facilities for 5 districts in the state. a high-level Agriculture Coordination Committee will be constituted under the chief minister’s chairmanship, which will meet once in three months and evaluate the impact of all programmes.
