Building upon the Memorandum of Understanding signed between IETO and Ubuntu during the United Economic Summit 2025 in Klang, the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) was invited to participate in the Women’s Entrepreneur Day 2025 hosted by Ubuntu in collaboration with the Department of MSME, Karnataka, held in Bengaluru. The event was dedicated to upholding entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation among women across India, and brought together business leaders, diplomats, and industry stakeholders to exchange insights and best practices aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs.
The event was graced by the Honorary Consuls of the Czech Republic, Spain, and Peru, alongside business leaders and industry stakeholders.

The program featured a panel discussion moderated by Mr. Rajkumar Khatri, IAS, a senior bureaucrat known for his extensive experience in public administration and policy implementation. With a strong background in governance, economic development, and MSME-focused initiatives, Mr. Khatri brought valuable perspective to the discussion, guiding deliberations on opportunities and challenges faced by women-led enterprises.
Through its participation, IETO highlighted its mandate to promote trade, economic development, and entrepreneurship, while creating platforms for knowledge exchange and skill enhancement.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of IETO, stated:
“IETO remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth and facilitating international trade. By supporting initiatives such as Women’s Entrepreneur Day, we aim to empower women leaders, foster entrepreneurship, and create meaningful platforms for knowledge exchange and cross-border collaboration.”

Women’s Entrepreneur Day 2025 demonstrated how collaborative engagement among governments, industry, and institutional stakeholders can generate meaningful economic and social impact. IETO looks forward to continued involvement in initiatives that support women’s leadership, strengthen economic linkages, and advance inclusive and sustainable development.
