The prestigious diplomatic gathering witnessed the presence of numerous African Ambassadors, High Commissioners, diplomats, government representatives, business leaders, and distinguished guests from across India and Africa.
On the occasion, Dr. Asif Iqbal conveyed his warm congratulations to the Chargé d’Affaires of the High Commission of Cameroon and extended greetings on behalf of the members of IETO. The interaction reflected the spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and growing cooperation that characterizes the relationship between India and Cameroon.

He noted that both nations have consistently demonstrated their commitment to strengthening South-South cooperation and promoting sustainable economic development.

The celebration served as an important platform for diplomatic engagement, bringing together representatives from several African nations and highlighting the growing significance of Africa in India’s global economic and strategic outreach. The presence of a large number of African diplomatic missions underscored the increasing momentum of India–Africa relations and the shared aspirations for prosperity, stability, and inclusive growth.
IETO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting greater commercial engagement between India and African countries, including Cameroon, by facilitating business partnerships, trade delegations, investment promotion initiatives, and sector-specific cooperation. The organization believes that enhanced economic diplomacy and stronger private-sector participation can unlock significant opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs on both sides.
As India and Cameroon continue to deepen their bilateral engagement, the National Day celebration represented another meaningful milestone in the enduring friendship between the two countries. The event highlighted the immense potential for future collaboration and reinforced the shared vision of building stronger economic and diplomatic bridges between India and Africa.
